Phrasal
verbs: vocabulary
Replace
the verbs in italics with phrasal verbs from the box. There is one you will not
need to use:

Between the ages of 3 and 5, a child is
unlikely to (1) sacrifice anything for a friend. After the age of
5 children co-operate more but they expect their friends to (2) follow

child is aged between 8 and 10.
In adolescence, friendships with the same sex (4)
acquire great importance. Young adults may initially (5) maintain
close relationships with their friends. Later on, the number of friendships begins
